Nice walkthrough
Hi Rob, thanks for this. Do you know if the recording includes the dm3 eq and compression? or is it recording the straight fro the audio input? thanks
This method patches the DM3-D inputs directly to the Virtual Soundcard Inputs. So no effects, EQ, compression, or input fader settings.
Thanks. Do you if it is possible to capture the channel processing on a multi track recording? Many thanks.
@@Wildb0y Yes - when patching to the outputs to Dante inputs, select the "Ins CH 1" instead of "IN 1"
@@robleeco ahh thank you. I think this must be a Dante specific thing as there is no option to do this on the standard model, I.e “CH 1” etc to usb outs for the multi track recording, only the die text “IN “s.
So much great info, thank you! After 40 years using fully manual, equatorially mounted vintage C5s and C8s am looking at ‘upgrading’ to a computerized Celestron. So many factors to consider :-) From an easy alignment point of view, is it better to go with Celestron’s CPC GPS scopes, rather than buying extra accessories, despite the weight penalty?
I'm doing a live jazz recording this Friday using one of these. The sound man will be letting get the usb output to multitrack the session. I want to purchase one of these sometime soon once I get my money together. Thanks for sharing this!!!!
If you're using the USB for multi-track recording you won't need these instructions for Dante. The DM3 will show up as a sound device you select in your DAW.
Hi Rob, we appreciate the thoughts you’ve shared here about your kitchen. You may be aware that Al sold this business last year in 2023. Since then, we have made key changes that we believe address the points you outlined. As customers ourselves, we used this kitchen full-time while traveling and deeply understand the concerns. Our products are now manufactured, assembled, warehoused, and shipped from an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility. We maintain accurate lead and ship times on our website. We updated the latch design to prevent the overturn issue you described and metal edges now have an additional treatment to smooth them. We have also implemented a new lifetime product warranty along with a 90-day return policy. We believe that our kitchen systems are the highest-quality and most durable on the market.
Sounds like much needed improvements. We're still using ours and despite the flaws it is an excellent Jeep kitchen.
Sounds like the 6se is best for someone who can afford the high price but isnt totally sold on how often i’ll use it? I’m thinking about 6-8 nights a year i’ll go all out and spend most of the night gazing.
0:47 - 1:25 is the single most important thing that no one else ever points out in any video
My thoughts exactly. Word for Word. Got mine in June, and used it all the time. I noticed a zoom eyepiece. Weighing buying one. This is a great scope
Great review…isn’t it sad that so many companies cheap out on key equipment areas. Even in telescopes….
A man after my own heart. You literally think about how awesome this hobby is in the same terms that I do. You earned my sub, sir.
Seeing the planets was kinda cool, but other than that, having a telescope was anti climactic. When you look at the stars, it was still just a white dot in the sky.
Hello , what kind if roof rack do you have ?
It is a FrontRunner rack.
hey what was the website you were showing in the video?
I think you're asking about the SkySafari app for Mac.
You say it's pricey how much is it tell us the price? My friend tell us the price the price the price
It was $4,000 and the price has gone up since I purchased.
@@robleeco Thank you so much, my friend, thank you.
Omg!!! I thought I recognize Tatiana ‘s voice on this, lol I’m heading there next week! Your, Evergreen, neighbor, Sadie ❤
We have one in Australia, mounted on a camper trailer. 4 foot off the ground, have added air mattress inside, love it for ease of opening and closing, Have not worked out how to make the fan work? love it.
There is a switch for the fan inside the housing unit towards the ceiling. Shine a flashlight and you'll see it.
Good as far as it went, but you don't really review the telescope in any detail. It was helpful to hear about your accessories, but I was looking for info on the telescope itself.
I will also never forget seeing Saturn for the first time. Just put together an 8se from parts scavenged online. Still waiting for the first clear night.
“I think I see a smudge.” They say a lady’s mental development stops at around age 12. Having known many women and also taught 12 year olds for many years, I concur. However, even my 5th graders were far more advanced than “I think I see a smudge.” We’re talking “Is Hello Kitty real?” mental development here (question I once fielded from a first day, first grader) 😊
The best review on this telescope I have seen thus far.
Thank you for the video. I have a 6 inches DOB, and loking for a telescope with a bigger aperture and a smaller size and weight. This telescope is an intresting solution for me
Nice job!
You do deserve a thums up. Great video. I'm researching options for a telescope to present to my granddaughter who is a sixth grader. Lucky I found you in time as you too started sky watching when you were in seventh grade. You were very clear and forthright. The scope will remain in storage 99% of the time. That did drive some sense into me.
Thanks for for the review, Waffle Factor : 0 (British definition), Information factor: 10. 👍
excellent job bud. you mention you didnt care for the wifi piece of equipment you purchased, was that piece for aiming the telescope? if i do buy a telescope id like to buy the wifi adaptor that sends the the telescope is pointing at to a computer.
It is called the Celestron SkyPortal WiFi module.
thanks@@robleeco
Thanks so much for sharing your personal opinions and sharing your experiences of the 8SE! It is helpful!
Thank you for your frank and honest review. You've really helped me establish which accessories I will or won't buy with the Celestron NexStar 8SE. Thanks for not having competing background music, and your audio sounds great!
Hey Rob, thanks for this review. Any chance yo could add links to the various bts of equipment you refer to in the description section?
this was a great real life review ... thank you
I wonder if anyone has ever seen a ufo while star gazing lol
What 2in diagonal for the Baader?
Wow a great review. Honest and eye opening. Thank you!
